Understand organizational behavior and the relationship between the organization and manager. Learn how to lead and manage teams in order to more effectively:

  • Learn direct style communication: effective written documents; assertion-focused presentations with high-impact visuals
  • Design easy to access email, memos and reports for multiple audiences

Learn how to analyze and present data using Microsoft Excel to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Who should attend

Students who are working toward, or have completed, a liberal arts or STEM degree. Candidates must be in good academic standing to be eligible for the program.

  • Summer Session is offered over five weeks in Charlottesville, VA, and is appropriate for students and graduates from across the U.S.
  • The Academic-Year sessions are offered Fridays during the fall and spring terms, and is convenient for current UVA undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals in the Charlottesville area.
